Alex R. Lumaghi

Alex R. Lumaghi is a graduate of Truman State University where he received his Bachelor’s of Arts in English in 2000. Alex graduated from St. Louis University School of Law in May 2004. While in law school he was a Staff Member of the Saint Louis University Law Journal and an 1843 Scholar. Before joining Dowd & Dowd, P.C. in 2005, Alex began his career at Newman, Bronson & Wallis working on the claims of children injured by the Doe Run Lead Smelter located in Herculaneum Missouri.
Mr. Lumaghi is licensed to practice law in the state of Missouri and is also admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit, and the United States District Courts for the Eastern District of Missouri and the Southern District of Illinois. Mr. Lumaghi has appeared before multiple appellate courts and prepared appellate briefs for both plaintiffs and defendants on a wide range of issues, including before the Missouri Court of Appeals for the Eastern District, the Missouri Court of Appeals for the Western District, the Missouri Supreme Court and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit. Mr. Lumaghi has been appointed to serve as Class Counsel or in other leadership roles in various nationwide class action proceedings. Mr. Lumaghi’s practice focuses on appellate law, class actions, legal malpractice, products liability, Civil Rights (including 1983 actions), workers compensation appeals, malicious prosecution/abuse of process litigation and he also specializes in summary judgment practice.
