William T. Dowd
Principal
William T. Dowd is a Principal and Managing Partner of the Firm. Since 1989, Bill has spent his career representing individuals who have been harmed as a result of the wrongful actions of others. Mr. Dowd has experience trying cases to juries in both Illinois and Missouri state courts and in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri.
Since 1989, Mr. Dowd’s practice has focused on representing victims and families injured or killed by automobile collisions, product liability defect, nursing home abuse and neglect, medical negligence and financial losses from legal malpractice and breach of fiduciary and trust duties against lawyers and corporate trustees.
Mr. Dowd also handles business and insurance litigation and civil rights claims including the use of excessive force by police. He has also handled large probate and trust administration matters, primarily in St. Louis City and St. Louis County.
Mr. Dowd takes pride in serving his clients with the respect, compassion and empathy that they deserve. These values, along with hard work and exhaustive preparation, have been at the core of Mr. Dowd’s legal career since he began practicing law in 1989. For nearly four decades, Mr. Dowd's client-first approach and team-centric attitude have been key to Dowd & Dowd’s success.
Bill has been married to Carla Dowd since 1988 and is the proud father of three daughters, Meaghan, Meredith and Natalie, and two grandchildren Willie and Mia.
