William T. Dowd is a Principal and Managing Partner of the Firm. Since 1989, Bill has spent his career representing individuals who have been damaged as a result of the misconduct of others. Mr. Dowd has experience trying cases to juries in both Illinois and Missouri state courts and in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri

Since 1989, Mr. Dowd’s practice has focused on representing victims and families injured or killed by product liability defect including pharmaceutical litigation; electric hospital bed fire death; cement burns; cardiac arrest from Taser stun gun injury; fall prevention equipment failure in windmill tower; machine automotive rollover defect; nursing home abuse and neglect (decubitus bed sores and patient falls with fractures); medical negligence (anesthesiology, gynecology, oncology, vascular surgery, cardiac and stroke injuries); legal malpractice (including mishandled personal injury, estate planning, will contest, trust administration and divorce cases); premises liability; wrongful death and breach of fiduciary and trust duties against lawyers and corporate trustees.

Mr. Dowd also handles employment discrimination, whistleblower, business and insurance contract litigation (life, homeowners, automobile, underinsured, uninsured, bad faith and vexatious refusal claims), and civil rights claims including the use of excessive force by police.

Mr. Dowd has experience trying cases to juries in both Illinois and Missouri state courts and in the Federal Court for the Eastern District of Missouri and has handled large probate and trust administration matters, primarily in St. Louis City and St. Louis County.
